〈Le MADISON〉The MADISON SHIRT, a classic button-down shirt, has been a staple in MADISONBLUE's collection since its very first launch. To reduce bulk when tucked in, the placket is cut off and joined at the sixth button instead of extending all the way to the hem, and the placket lining is designed with chain stitching to intentionally create puckering. The side seams are 5mm felled seams. The split yoke is made with half-bias fabric to allow for greater movement. A box pleat provides a wider range of motion, allowing sleeves to be easily rolled up or down. The cuffs are gathered, and gussets are added to the side hems for reinforcement to prevent tearing. Mother-of-pearl buttons are attached with cross-stitching for added durability. With a high collar, slim arms, and a moderately shaped waist, it pairs perfectly with high-waisted bottoms. The length is intentionally set longer to ensure a balanced look when worn untucked. This 100% cotton fabric is a carefully crafted reproduction of the Dan River oxford used in vintage Brooks Brothers shirts.
